Driveline and Transmission Chief Engineer will be responsible for developing client relationships, selling Driveline and Transmission capabilities and leading projects Duties include: Lead interface with multiple clients by identifying a potential need, developing a workable solution and integrating the solution into a proposal Lead the delivery of programs Analyze technology trends and market demand to plan projects Confers with management, business development, and marketing staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing services Forecasts operating costs of projects and prepares project reports Responsible for identifying and researching new technologies, and leading the growth of technical skills within C&E operations Support other product groups with Control and Electronic needs Position Requirements Experience managing of large teams of engineers Sales/Business Development experience, preferably as an engineering consultant Transmission/ Axle Design experience Transmission/ Axle Engineering experience Transmission/ Axle Analysis experience
SkillsRequired
Experience with automotive testing procedures and techniques used to ensure component and system conformance Working knowledge of vehicle transmission systems Familiarity with DFMEA/DFM, DFA and DVP&R System engineering background Proven track record of leading projects from product development to production Strong experience in Transmission/ Axle engineering. Knowledge in heavy duty, off-road equipment. Should be able to Chair a technical engineering review. Should be able to chair a technical review of the timing and costing of a complex transmission program BS Engineering. Masters (Engineering or Business) or Ph.D. preferred. Technical Software Packages Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, MathCAD, Excel, Microsoft Project
