Your role here will be to ensure the company’s new sites have all the necessary permits and consents, while maintaining minimum costs and maximum effectiveness. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll liaise with everyone from consultants and planners to NGOs and local communities - directing their input, ensuring full engagement and delivering best practice.
All of this will utilise your strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills. It will also call for a relevant degree level qualification, a good scientific background and an understanding of the complex arguments across a range of environmental issues. Add to this impressive project management expertise and a commitment to team work, and you could be the person the company are looking for.
The company has a healthy level of investment into biomass and carbon reduction, they are looking forward to a stable and exciting future - with plans to construct biomass power stations over four to seven years commencing in late 2010.
